Here are some sketches of some abstract angels that I did a day or so ago. I thought it was time to really combine the two art styles seen on this blog. I think this is a new direction that will be going for a while here. I want to do some more work combining these two styles in order to really feel like I am one complete person. I am tired of being torn in two ways. I feel if I can combine the abstract and angels into one concept, I will do better and it will make more sense for my loyal blog audience.
Here are some abstracts
I am using a moleskine xtra large folio sketchbook. It is one of the only type of sketchbooks where I am able to draw on both sides of the paper without it showing through. The paper is top quality and a sort that almost any artist uses nowadays. They claim that their books were used by Van Gogh and Matisse to name a few. Anyhow, this is not a plug, I just want to let the other artists who are out there know what to use in case you are interested in what I am using. I know when I was first learning, I would have loved to know what my favorite artists were using in terms of art materials.
Here are some more abstract angels. I hope to make quite a number more of these types of drawings and sketches.
I used a special ink brush pen that has ink cartridges and a real paint brush tip. Maybe I will post a review of it at some point.
Anyhow, I hope you like these two worlds merging on this blog. I hope to bring some more great art and some more great posts in the coming days. I also have some more zazzle products in the works, so stay tuned for that.
