I was going to save this for next year, but I realized a lot of people are probably doing their final bits of lawn care here in the northern hemisphere and perhaps those in the southern hemisphere are just getting started with their gardening.
In this comic strip, I used the word ‘should’ twice. I am looking back and thinking I should have worded it better. I learned from my studies that heaven and the angels never tell you something you ‘should’ do, but only make loving suggestions that you decide for yourself whether it is right or wrong. It would have been better to say ‘tending to your garden is a service best to ask your faeries and earth angels about.’ And the faery saying “why doesn’t he use an electric mower?”
It’s a little bit of semantics, but a worthy thing to think about. You wouldn’t want some higher being bossing you around with “shoulds” and they would never do that. I guess it slipped out. There’s a lot of things that seem so obvious at first, but then looking back, I think Why did I say that that way when the information I know obviously says the other?
